The collection contains Senate decrees, regulations of the Omsk regional administration, provincial administration of Tobolsk, meeting logs, reports on the activities of Omsk General District Office of the provincial government, statements about the prices and yields in the Omsk district, correspondence about the state of industry and trade, agriculture and land use, statements and correspondence about the city of Omsk, correspondence about the arrested domestics and on the cantonists. It also contains the text of the decree of the Senate on Jews, instructions for the military inspector and batch officers on the subject of the reception and transmission of Jewish recruits (1828), the text of the Senate's decree on the procedure for sending children of Jewish exiles from Siberia to the province open to permanent residence of Jews (1853); Journals of the Omsk district administration, which contain data on contracts with Jews (with the peasant Kopshyeyn, 1861): on the purchase and sale of real estate (case on the announcement of the official Chernavin and peasant Ichkovicheva about an act on the house,1864).
Materials were added to the archive as part of the standard local process.
In 1822, Siberia was divided into two general governorships. Omsk became part of the Western one and three divisions were created: regional, district and city, rural municipality and stanitsa. In 1823 the inner Omsk district was created; the county was divided into ‘general’ and ‘special’. In 1823 the Council of the Omsk district general management was created. In 1868 Omsk District and District Office were dissolved.
