- Photocopies (circa 70pp) of: letters, mostly in German and some in Czech, written during 1940 - 1943 from a German-Jewish couple in Prague to relatives and friends abroad, concerning their own situation and that of their family under Nazi occupation and in exile, and their deportation to Theresienstadt camp in 1943 (including several letters from their daughter's fiance who was deported soon afterwards, giving further details of this); seven postcards sent by the couple and their daughter from Theresienstadt and Auschwitz-Birkenau, 1943 - 1944; and of letters sent to their son in England from relatives in Vienna during 1946 - 1947, giving family news and describing conditions in the city and in postwar Austria generally; the wartime letters from Prague are also of interest for their references to a family acquaintance, Herbert or 'Culli', the postwar screen actor Herbert Lom.
