- Photocopies of various documents concerning the life and death of Trude Gruber, a Jewish emigree born in Austria in 1932 and later sent to stay with foster-parents in England in response to the threat of Nazism (her true parents were deported from Vichy France to Auschwitz during the war, where they perished), being educated in England and embarking on a career in Social Work, which she continued after her emigration to the United States in the 1960s; the collection consists of copies of obituaries and personal testimonies from colleagues and friends, and copies of letters and cards written to her in England before and during the Second World War by her parents, also a photograph of Trude Gruber in later life.
