- Transcriptions of two letters (6pp ts, in German) written in 1942 to her sons by a German-Jewish lady living in Wiesbaden, describing the deteriorating situation of Jews in the town from 1937 onwards and the impact of Nazi legislation on the family, the deportations and rumours of conditions in the Polish ghettos, her husband's arrest for not displaying the yellow star on his clothing and her continually frustrated attempts to find out more about his imprisonment, his eventual release and the breakdown of his health (mainly as a result of being forced to clear snow from the streets), leading to his death shortly afterwards, and finally informing her sons that she has determined to take her own life.
