- Substantial accumulation of mainly official correspondence and other papers dating from the 1950s to circa 2008 pertaining to Samuel Litvack and his wife Pola Litvack, Polish-Canadians resident in Toronto, Canada, mostly regarding their claims for compensation in respect of persecution, imprisonment, and physical and mental suffering inflicted upon them during the Second World War by the Nazi regime (Samuel was a prisoner in the concentration camp at Mauthausen and elsewhere, Pola in Auschwitz-Birkenau), a large part of the documentation being legal correspondence (mainly in German) with lawyers and government agencies in Germany regarding the Litvacks' restitution / compensation submissions, with supporting material including copies of wartime documents and medical assessments, also questionnaires and other documents from the Jewish Claims Conference and documents pertaining to other aspects of the Litvacks' postwar life in Canada.
