- 27 letters (ms, in English) written to Mildred Bozman between August 1940 – February 1944 by the German-Jewish refugee writer Friedrich Walter while serving as a Private in the Auxiliary Military Pioneer Corps at various locations in Devon and other parts of southern England, with observations on his AMPC service and life as a refugee generally, and referring particularly to attempts to get his novels 'Tobias' and 'Kassandra' translated and published in England [with a cutting from and complete edition of the German-language refugee newspaper 'Die Zeitung' containing two articles by Walter]; also 16 letters (ms) written to Bozman by various English correspondents during 1941 – 1944, mainly describing their experiences of German air raids on their local areas, including Epsom and Croydon.
