- Documents and photographs relating to Sydney Kay (born Siegfried Kulmann) and his wife Marion Kay (born Marion Bassfreund), German-Jewish refugees to Britain from Nazi Germany, also to other members of their families, comprising: German official papers and family documents dating from 1919 – 1930s; letters and postcards from the 1930s, written from Germany to relations in Palestine; documents relating to Sydney and Marion's marriage in England in December 1939, when Sydney was an internee in Kitchener Camp at Richborough (Kent); papers concerning their naturalisation as British citizens living in Leeds, 1948; and papers concerning Marion's application for a German pension after the war; also a large number of family photographs, loose and in albums, including an album of photographs taken by/of Sydney whilst interned in Kitchener Camp.
