- Well-written and informative ts memoir (96pp) of his involvement with the defence of Jerusalem's Old City in March - May 1948 against the besieging Arab forces during the first Arab-Israeli War of 1947 - 1949, with details of his activities as Hagana liaison officer with the British Army in Jerusalem, the organisation and fighting capabilities of the Hagana in the Old City and their relations with other Jewish groups (primarily Irgun), medical facilities for Jewish casualties, his efforts to organise civilian labour in support of the military, the surrender of the Old City, and his capture by the Arabs; also copies of transcripts of six letters (7pp) he wrote to his parents during this time, copies of various newspaper articles concerning the battle for the Old City (one of which he wrote himself), and a map of Jerusalem.
