- Collection of documents concerning Harold Peters (born Horst Pfeffer), a German-Jewish refugee from Nazi Germany who came to England in 1939 following his release from Buchenwald concentration camp, and subsequently joined the British Army (Auxiliary Military Pioneer Corps), settling in Britain after the war, including: his birth certificate ('Geburtsurkunde', 1915); two certificates of vaccination ('Impfschein', 1916 and 1927); passport ('Reisepass', issued Breslau 1936); certificate of attestation into the Pioneer Corps, 1942; Soldier's Service and Release Books and related documents; attestation of marriage (1942) at South Side Hebrew Congregation, London; certificate of naturalization (1947) and related papers; 12 photographs, 2 yellow cloth stars, and several other miscellaneous items.
