- Memoir (11pp ts) of her experiences as a young Jewish girl in Berlin in the 1930s and during the early years of Second World War, her life until then relatively untouched by Nazi persecution due to her lawyer father's distinguished First World War military record, the family's receipt of a deportation order at the beginning of 1942 which they were able to avoid, apparently due to the personal intervention of Hans von Dohnanyi and Helmuth James von Moltke, professional acquaintances of her father and leading members of the German Resistance, who subsequently arranged for a group of Berlin Jews, including the Fliess family, to leave Germany for safety in Switzerland in September 1942.
