- This collection of material consists of photographs, ephemera, and an audio recording relating to 'Partial Eclipse', including items documenting the performance of the work. Performances at Tate (1981 and 2006), Flourish Nights, Glasgow (2002) and Giti Nourbakhsch, Berlin (2004) are represented by four photographic prints. The performance of 'Partial Eclipse' staged by Nigel Greenwood at A1 Metropolitan Wharf, London, 1981 is represented by an original card. The collection also includes three stills taken from the slide sequence used for 'Partial Eclipse', selected by the artist, as well as an original master tape of the work's voice-over narrative. Marc Camille Chaimowicz, (born 1947), is a multimedia and performance artist.'Partial Eclipse' (1980–82) consisted of Chaimowicz walking in a figure of eight in front of and behind a screen on which slides of his apartment/studio were projected, whilst a female voice recounted fragments of meetings, situations and relationships (see 1983 exh. cat., pp. 23–5).The work, was restaged at the Tate Gallery in 2006, and formerly acquired by the Tate in 2007, T12453.
