- This series contains files of the 6th Airborne Division in Palestine during the period of the British Mandate following the Second World War. It comprise orders, reports, logs, and other papers relating to the administration, operations, and exercises of British forces in Palestine.The 6th Airborne Division was transferred in the early Autumn of 1945 from Germany to Southern Palestine, where it was involved in the peace-keeping duties of the British forces. With the end of the British Mandate in May 1948 the division left for the United Kingdom and was dissolved.
