When the archive is catalogued, the patient data will require closure for the lifetime of the data subjects in accordance with Data Protection legislation. - Administrative/biographical history:
- Hans Leo Winter, later Howard Leslie Winter, (c.1900-1999) trained as a phsyician in Frankfurt in 1925 and practised as an orthopaedic surgeon. He left Germany for Britain in the ?1930s as a refugee from the Nazi regime, subsequently practising in the Surgical Department of the London Jewish Hospital and serving as Major in the Royal Army Medical Corps. He was a Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians of London (LRCP), the Royal College of Surgeons (LRCS) and the Royal Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons (LRFPS).
