- Extent:

- Scope and content:
- Papers on German Jewish youth organisations, chiefly the _Deutsch- Jüdischen Wanderbund_, including newsletters, which shed some light on the movement's ideological position, and ephemera, 1 Dec 1922- 26 Feb 1925. Also a report of a discussion evening organised by _Arbeitskreis religiöser Jugend für den Frieden_, a Berlin-based organisation, attended by representatives and members of various religious groups, 27 May 1930 and advertisement for the Jewish youth advice service, _Jüdische Jugendberatung Hamburg_.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The _Deutsch-Jüdischen Wanderbund_ was established in Aug 1921 by groups of young Jewish nature lovers in various parts of Germany who felt uncomfortable in the _Wandervogel_ movement on account of growing antisemitism. The liberal Jewish membership felt itself to be both German and Jewish and therefore rejected the Zionism and orthodoxy of other Jewish youth movements. The organisation folded in 1932.
