- A collection of letters and documents mostly originating from the Jewish community of Hagenau in Alsace, dated between 1710 and 1842. Fols 1v-59vאגרות, תעודות ושטרות בית דין מקהלת הגינויא ואליהIgrot, Teʿudot u-sheṭarot bet din mi-ḳehilat Hagenoy ṿe-eleha.Note: Most of the documents concern marriage and divorce, but there are also communal decisions and reports. Includes also an English business letter addressed to Mr. Kalish of Ipswich dated 1846 (ff. 8-9); notes on Genesis 1-2 (f. 12); a letter from Jacob(?) Arnheim to Abraham Cohen concerning the binding of Arnheim's books (f. 13); deliberations in Yiddish of the administrative committee of the Jewish congregation at Hagenau, dated 22 March 1840 a financial transaction involving Samuel Hilman, rabbi at Mannheim, dated 5509 (1748/9) (ff. 28-29).
