- This typescript copy account of life in an unidentified ghetto commences with a note in English that the letter extracts were received in New York from Switzerland. The Jewish woman describes the horrendous living conditions in a ghetto in Poland. Mention is made of the immanent arrival of a Swiss commission of inspection. It is also headed ‘strictly confidential, for your personal information only' and annotated with the date May 1942.
