The Jewish-related records are not primary sources and not very numerous; they are to be found, among others, in those collections that were associated with Jewish landed property and possibly with the landed property of Jewish communities, institutions and organisations. In the case of the Wrocław regency, we have an incomplete list of this type of property, hence it can only be assumed that one would need to check land ownership in such places as, e.g., Miejsce (Staetel), or Miłoszyce or Kijowice (where the cemeteries of the Jewish community of Bierutów were located), or villages scattered north of the Oder in which we know that Jews lived.
In the case of the Wrocław area, we know that landed estates were owned by:
Julius Schottländer: Kowale estate (Friedewalde-Cawallen at the time), Suchy Dwór (Althofdürr at the time), Bledzów (Grünhübel), Wysoka (Wessig), Stary Śleszów (Alt-Schliesa) oraz Biestrzykowice (Eckersdorf), Partynice and Ołtaszyn
Paula Schottländer - Wysoka (Wessig – in Wrocław county at the time),
Bruno Schottländer - Wilmanowic (Schützendorf, Grodków county),
Salo Schottländer - Będkowice (Benkwitz, Wrocław county),
Georg Pacully - Baumgarten (Baumgarten bei Ohlau),
Richard Pacculy - Kraszowa (Kraschen, Syców county),
Loebel Pacculy – Rothuas i Stockteich (Brzeg county),
Sielberstein - Malkwitz – (Wrocław county),
Friedländer - Popowice – Poepelwitz (Wrocław county), Windisch i Marchitz (Namysłów county),
Albrecht – Siebschau (Wrocław country),
Inheritance from Kroh – Trestno (Treschen, Wrocław county).

- Archival history:
- The materials included in the collection were produced and collected by the judicial administration before World War II; they were part of the State Archive in Breslau/Wrocław (Staatsarchiv Breslau). The records were dispersed for protection and stored in different places during World War II so the collection was not destroyed. After the war, the records became the legal property of the successor of the same, i.e., the State Archive in Wrocław.
- Administrative/biographical history:
-
The General Commissions were established by a regulation of 20 June 1816 (Verordnung wegen Organization der Generalkommissionen und der Revisionskollegien zur Regulierung der gutsherrlichen Verhältnisse, ingleichen wegen des Geschäftsbetriebs bei diesen Behörden) as bodies of a judicial nature with a two-tiered collegiate appeals system and were subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Berlin. Each General Commission had a director and two members, of whom at least one was required to have judicial powers. Their rulings could be appealed at the special revisions court (Revisionkollegium) in Wrocław. These offices were established in Prussian provinces, including Silesia, where its headquarters were located in Wrocław as of 1826. In the 1880s, the individual General Commissions were merged and dissolved in 1919.
The commission was created to implement the provisions of the enfranchisement edict and regulation of agricultural relations in the Prussian State of 9 October 1807; together with the declaration of 29 May 1816, this legislation enabled the evolutionary transformation of ownership relations, recalculating labour dues and drainage problems in Prussia, i.e. generally eliminating various feudal obligations by converting them into monetary liabilities.
The Commission was responsible for supervision of the implementation of the enfranchisement edict of 1811 and the declaration of 1816; division of joint ownership in villages and demarcation of property boundaries; settlement of disputes between parties; approval of enfranchisement deferments; issuing executive (enforcement) sentences.
Decisions were made jointly during weekly meetings. The Audit Committee was composed of three judges from the Higher National Court (Oberlandesgericht) and two district counsellors (Regierungsräte). The final court of appeal was the Secret High Court in Berlin.
The auxiliary bodies were special commissions performing their duties in the field. They consisted of a commissioner, a clerk and a measurer.
The office was dissolved and replaced in accordance with the Act of 3 June 1919 by Bureaus for Agricultural Affairs (Landeskulturämter).
