- Administrative/biographical history:
- The United Jewish Israel Appeal (UJIA) is the British branch of Keren Hayesod or the United Israel Appeal. It works to guarantee a sustainable and positive future for the people of Israel's Galil and the Jewish community in the UK. In the UK the UJIA's flagship programme is 'Israel Experience', which sends 2,500 young people to Israel each year on a dedicated educational programme. In conjunction with this, the UJIA supports Jewish Youth Movements and the Union of Jewish Students, whilst also funding a number of young adult educational initiatives including Limmud.
