- Working papers for a history of Jewish education in England: press cuttings relating to Jewish schools, educational personnel and institutions and on educational issues, 1845- 1955. Papers relating to Sha'are Torah, Institute for Jewish Studies, including annual reports, accounts, registers of attendance and press cuttings, 1950-65. - Administrative/biographical history:
- Revd Joseph Halpern (1907-) was head of the Hebrew Department, Jews Free School Secondary School; lecturer at Jews' College, London; honorary secretary of Jews' College Institute for Training of Teachers and joint honorary secretary for the Friends of the Hebrew Language Academy. He held these posts until he emigrated to Israel in 1970. Halpern was the founder and chairman of the Bible Readers' Union and he published a number of educational works.
