This collection relates to the activist work of Di Hudson during the late 20th century. It contains of a variety of documents and pamphlets relating to feminist events and organisations during the late 20th century. This includes flyers, campaign materials, members lists, and newspaper articles concerning the Manchester Gay Alliance Group (1973-1974), articles and newsletters discussing the British feminist movement, full prints of feminist publications (including, but not limited to, Spare Rib, WIRES, The Suffragette, Leeds Women’s Newsletter, Catcalls, Zero, and Anarcho-Feminist Monthly), along with information regarding women’s aid charities.
Of particular interest is material relating to the Jewish Women’s Conference held in Birmingham in 1985. This includes a programme of events, notes on the conference's organisation, a Jewish lesbian reading list, and a variety of papers relating to issues such as antisemitism in the women’s liberation movement, homosexuality, the Holocaust, and the Jewish experience in Britain. There is discussion of the Spare Rib crisis which is cited as being one motivating factor for the development of the conference. Alongside this there is one copy of Shifra Magazine (1986), and one copy of Lilith Magazine (1987), both Jewish feminist publications.
