- This collection includes visitor books, invitations and letters, blank seasonal greeting cards from the Lord Mayor of Newcastle, photographs of Henry and Theresa Russell, and photograph of passengers on board the 'Etrog', an Israeli ship on the Tyne.

- Administrative/biographical history:
- Henry Russell and Theresa Science Russell both served as councillors in Newcastle upon Tyne over a number of years. Henry Russell, who was a GP, also served as Lord Mayor in 1961 and as Sheriff in 1964. Henry Russell died in 1998 aged 94. Theresa Science Russell was first elected as a councillor in November 1945 and by the time she retired in 2002 she had spent over 53 years in public office. She represented Scotswood from 1945 to 1967, and then Byker from 1970 to 2002 and became Newcastle upon Tyne's first Jewish magistrate in 1955. She also served as Lord Mayor in 1965 and in April 2003 was enrolled as an honorary alderman of Newcastle City Council. Theresa Russell died on 2 July 2006 at the age of 96.
