- Ravensbourne Old People's Home for Jewish People was opened in 1988 as a self-contained Jewish unit within a larger local authority home in Linden Road, Gosforth. The Friends Committee was established to provide Jewish support for the unit, arranging religious and social events, and visiting residents. The home (including the Jewish unit) closed in 1992 due to funding difficulties.
