- This collection includes records of circumcisions and a statement concerning the genealogy of Elias Perlson (c1880) with explanatory letters from Professor Aaron Saltman of Bar Ilan University to Nathaniel Science of Gosforth.

- Held by creating organisation/individual until gifted to Tyne and Wear Archives.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Established in 1867 by a group who had seceded from the Temple Street synagogue in a dispute over rights of membership. The new congregation was largely composed of Poles and it was also known as the Polish Synagogue. The congregation reunited with Temple Street when the new synagogue at Leazes Park Road was opened.
