- Scope and content:
- This collection consists of documentaries, documentary series, feature films as well as various video recordings (for example of news broadcasts and other television programs). They mainly relate to the events of the years 1933-1945, in particular the Second World War. Relevant for this guide are the recordings concerning the situation of the Jews before the war, the persecution of the Jews (deportation, concentration camps), post-war documentaries and testimonies of survivors, various commemoration ceremonies etc. We particularly note the documentary series De Laatste Getuigen / Les Derniers Témoins and Shoah, separate episodes of series and programs such as Jours de Guerre and Panorama, and documentaries (e.g. Yellow star – der gelbe Stern, various films by Frans Buyens and Lydia Chagoll).
