- In this collection we find a beautiful huldealbum (tribute album), made on the occasion of the verdict in the Dreyfus Affair in Rennes, and offered as a sign of sympathy to the Dreyfus family in 1899. It was signed in September 1899 by dignitaries from the press, the Bar (balie), the stock market and the diamond industry; by medical doctors, teachers and professors; by the Institut Supérieur de Commerce; by the personnel of the city hall and of the Commissie voor Openbare Onderstand; by the families Pécher, Grisar, De Roubaix, De Wael and their friends; by the families Van der Meersch, Kreglinger, Everaerts, Gevers and their friends; etc. A page was also reserved for “ladies”. In addition to these separate categories, the book contains signatures of many individual persons.
