- Joseph Zucker (1910-1999) was born in Antwerp in 1910. He studied engineering at the Université de Liège. He made a brilliant career in the automotive industry. Zucker married Théa Fischer, the daughter of Eva and Max Fischer, born in Scheveningen (the Netherlands) in 1920. During the Second World War, Joseph volunteered for the Belgian armed forces in Great Britain; he played a key role in organising transports and supplies. His wife was also a volunteer for the Belgian army in Great Britain, working in civil defence and Radio Welfare. She became active in Jewish associational life after the war, notably serving as president of the Conseil International des Femmes Juives. (J.-P. Schreiber, "Zucker, Joseph dit Joe", in J.-P.
