- This fonds contains correspondence, identity papers, a file concerning the scholarships of the social commission of the UEJB (1947), a file concerning the creation of the CNHEJ, and notebooks of the Fédération de la Jeunesse Juive de Belgique (1958). (See box 179)
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Chaïm Osias (Oscar) Unger (1914-1966) migrated to Belgium in 1936 in order to study medicine at the ULB, studies which he would continue after the war. He was actively involved in the resistance. He created, with his friend Georges Schnek, the Union des Étudiants Juifs de Belgique in 1945, the Union des anciens Étudiants juifs de Belgique in 1955 and the Fonds des Prêts d’Études in 1955. He was active for the Centre des Jeunes and the Fédération de la Jeunesse Juive de Belgique. A medical doctor, specialising in radiology, he was also a member of the board of the AIVG and founding member of the Association des Amitiés belgo-israéliennes. (E. Wulliger & J.-P.
