- This fonds contains documents produced by the Union des Déportés Juifs et Ayants-Droit de Belgique (UDJADB), an organisation of which Sam Topor was the secretary, such as photos, minutes of meetings, lists of members, etc. (See boxes 207 and 208, 249 and 250)
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Samuel Topor (1925-1997) was a furrier by profession. After the Second World War he was the secretary of the Union des Déportés Juifs et Ayants-Droit de Belgique. He represented the organisation in the Zionist Federation of Belgium. Topor was also active in other organisations, such as the Brussels section of the Histadrut Haoved Hatzioni (as secretary), the Zionist youth movement Darkenou (as president) and the Comité d’Action pour Israël. Topor was one of the founders and later member of the board of the CCOJB. In 1995 Sam Topor received the decoration of Knight in the Order of Leopold. (Fonds Sam Topor (BE / MJB / Fonds Sam Topor)
