- This fonds contains documents concerning the family of Philippe Szerer, including identity papers, announcements of deaths and of marriages. We also note files related to the Organisation de la Jeunesse juive de Liège, including leaflets and announcements for meetings and activities, lists of members, lists of members participating to the holiday camps, and the periodical published by the OJJL (1970s-1980).
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Philippe Szerer was active in the Organisation de la Jeunesse juive de Liège (OJJL), a rival organisation to the Hashomer Hatzair. The OJJL existed until 1980, while the Hashomer Hatzair remained active in Liège until 2005. Szerer studied law and became a lawyer, attached to the Bar in Brussels since 1985.
