- This fonds contains handwritten texts in Yiddish, notebooks, identity documents, correspondence, photos, invitations to theatre performances as well as press cuttings related to Yikult.

- Administrative/biographical history:
- Bella Szafran married Lejb Szafran (born in Poland in 1939 and died in Tenerife in 1995). Lejb Szafran was one of the driving forces behind the Yikult Theater. Bella Szafran directed this theatre. The Yikult Theater, promoter of Yiddish culture, was housed by the Cercle Culturel et Sportif Juif (CCSJ, predecessor of the CCLJ) from 1959 onwards. Each year the troupe presented one or two plays – either originals, or adaptations of modern or classical Yiddish theatre. ("Nécrologie de Lejb Szafran", in Le Soir, Tuesday 28 November 1995.)
