- Georges Rhodius was born in 1899. He played a major role during the First World War and joined the resistance during the Second World War. After the war he was a member of the Comité Consultatif des Prisons and in this capacity participated in the evaluation of requests by collaborators for early release. In mid-1942 he joined the clandestine Aide aux Abandonnés (AAA-NISDGM), an organisation that helped many Jews escape persecution. Rhodius was involved in the organisation and relief of Jewish children placed in the homes in Eprave, Jamoigne and Sugny. (R. Boijen, Inventaris der archieven.
