- In box 1 we find i.a. circulars and convocations letters (1980) of the Groep Een. Studiegroep voor Joods-Christelijke betrekkingen. Box 2 contains a file “ecumenism national”, holding documents concerning i.a. de Katholieke Nationale Commissie voor Oecumene (including minutes of meetings, 1989, 1991-1992), annual reports of the diocesan and subcommittees (including the Nationale Commissie voor de Betrekkingen met het Jodendom, 1989, 1991), texts and reports concerning the General Assemblies, and working documents and articles related to the ‘Karmel’ in Auschwitz (1989). Box 4 contains a file concerning the 9th conference of the Institutum Iudaicum titled “L’image de la femme dans l’écriture et la tradition” (1986), including i.a. the texts of the lectures. We also note circulars (1988) and activity reports (for the years 1981, 1985-1988) of the Institutum Iudaicum, and assorted circulars (1988) of the aforementioned Groep Een. Lastly, box 5 contains several press releases and texts concerning the relations of the Church with the Jews (1977), and an annual report of the Katholieke Nationale Commissie voor de Oecumene (1986).
- Administrative/biographical history:
- René De Bakker (1922-1994) was ordained a priest in 1947. He was chaplain in Peutie (1947-1949), teacher at the Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege in Diest (1950-1967), deacon (1967) and priest (1967-1992) in Tervuren. De Bakker was also administrator of the parish of Vossem and Tervuren, and chaplain in Tervuren.
