- This fonds contains private correspondence of Binem Cukier and correspondence from the Zionist movement, minutes of meetings of this movement, documents related to the bookkeeping of the Zionist Federation of Brussels and a membership list of the socialist Zionist movement. (see boxes 173-178).
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Binem Cukier was born in Radom (Poland) in 1907 and migrated to Belgium in 1930. He was a militant of the Poale Zion movement, and later became its honorary president. His poems in Yiddish were published by the Literarische Bletter in Warsaw; he also edited the periodical Unzer Tribune in Yiddish and was one of the Belgian correspondents of the Parisian Yiddish daily newspaper Unzer Vort.
