The collection comprises documents produced by the Department of Culture and Propaganda, a unit within the Central Committee of Jews in Poland (CKŻP), between 1944 and 1950.
Organisational dossier (reports, records and minutes, documents related to anti-Jewish incidents in Poland, proclamations, correspondence, materials on contact with foreign institutions, finance): units 1-36.

- Archival history:
- Once the CKŻP was dismantled in 1950, the documentation of its Department of Culture and Propaganda joined the collection of the Jewish Historical Institute (ŻIH). The original volume of the archive and the details of initial ordering or rearrangement work and sorting out of the fund are unknown.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Section (Referat), later the Department, of Culture and Propaganda of Culture was set up in autumn 1944, tasked with organising celebrations, pursuing information and propaganda activities, keeping a press archive, coordinating cultural and educational work with provincial Jewish committees and performing publishing activity. October 1950 saw the dismantling of the Department.
