- Scope and content:
- The fonds comprises diplomas and other official records issued by the University of Budapest and other institutions from 1291 to 1913. It includes diplomas issued to students of medicine and other departments of the University of Budapest, nobility diplomas issued by the kings of Hungary and the Emperor of Austria and titles awarded by the Masonic lodge of France. Among the recipients of such records are Jewish individuals: file No. 122/1841 (title of great inspector awarded to David Rozenberg by the Masonic Lodge of France); No. 130/ 1872 (the University of Budapest awards the title of doctor in law to Eugen Schwartz); No. 133/1898 (Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria-Hungary awards a nobility title to the Schwaitzer family).
