Included are 148 registers of receipt and issue of documents for 1876–1948 and 69 volumes of indexes, which permit issues concerning the Jewish community to be located.
- Archival history:
- The inventoried fonds is preserved in the Romanian National Archives, Directorate of Sălaj County.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Before the First World War and in 1940–44, when the Hungarian administration was restored in northern Transylvania, the duties of the ispán (count or county head) were undertaken by his deputy in his absence or by delegation. This was also the case for the county prefect and his deputy in the interwar period and after 1945, when the Romanian administration returned. These structures were replaced with a new administrative structure by the communist regime in 1948.
