- The fonds contains 28 registers of the pupils of the Hungarian popular elementary school in Prundu Bîrgăului from 1899 to 1918 and a file of correspondence with the school inspectorate of Bistriţa-Năsăud county from the year 1902. The catalogues comprise a certain year of study and 1-2 grades. The proportion of Jewish pupils was around 35%, reflecting the existence of an important Jewish community in Prundu Bîrgăului. The data from the catalogues reflects the social structure and the national and religious composition of the schoolchildren.
