- The collection comprises the records documenting the activity of Emil Böszörményi, a lawyer in Satu Mare. It includes documents relating to the Calvinist church in Satu Mare, records of the visitations of the parishes of this church and documents of the Charitable Association of Women in Satu Mare. It also contains trial files concerning debts, real estate, inheritance, bankruptcies, divorces and financial issues. The majority of Emil Böszörményi ‘s clients were Jewish. Files include for example: file 16/1895 of the trial of Samuel Rosenzweig from Budapest against Moricz Fried, file 65/1898 of Hermann Hirsch from Şomcuta Mare against Mor Berger from Cluj.

- The collection was in custody of the County Library in Satu Mare before it was transferred to the Romanian National Archives, Directorate of Satu Mare County.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Emil Böszörményi was the son of Elek Böszörményi and continued his activity as lawyer in Satu Mare and prime curate of the local Calvinist church. He owned a manor in Culciu Mare, extensive real estate holdings and shares in a brick factory and a bank in Satu Mare. One of his daughters was married to a member of the Hungarian government during 1940-1944. Another of his daughters emigrated to Australia after the Second World War. His wife died in Carei in the 1970s.
