- The collection includes different documents transferred to the National Archives, Directorate of Satu Mare County, from the County Library Satu Mare. It includes school records of the Calvinist Gymnasiums in Satu Mare and Sighetu Marmaţiei, of the Calvinist high school in Sigheru Marmaţiei, records of the meetings of the cultural circle "Kölcsey", register of entrance and issue of the documents of the firemen of Baia Mare, documents of the savings bank of Satu Mare, the municipal budget project of Satu Mare, correspondence addressed to the lawyer Elek Böszörményi, census records and registers of donations. Among these last issues appears in the file 28/1911 a register of donations for the Jewish community from Leipzig for the building of a prayer house (1911-1914).

- The collection was kept by the County Library Satu Mare. It was transferred to the National Archives, Directorate of Satu Mare County in 1984.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The County Library in Satu Mare has its origins at the end of the 19th century. In 1891 the cultural circle Kölcsey was founded, with its own collection of books. In 1905 it became the museum of the Kölcsey circle with a library including thousands of volumes. After the Second World War, the library became a state institution in 1951, having at that time holdings of 5,383 volumes. It integrated publications and documents from the county and surrounding area and became the library of Satu Mare county with over 204,000 volumes, as well as a collection of documents later transferred to the archives.
