- This file comprises the typewritten copy of “Life of a Cantonist”, the memoir of Abram Markovich Pantofel, the founder of Omsk Jewish dynasty. The text covers the entire period of the subject's life from birth to the time of writing (1911), with a focus on the service in the army of the Russian Empire, first as cantonist, and then as a musician in the Western Siberian troops. The total volume of the typewritten copy is 57 pages. It was copied by his grandson A.M. Galich in 1975.
