This file is a collection of memoirs written by members of Omsk Hesed and Club of Jewish history and tradition. The texts were written in the late 2000s.
1. Memories of Inga Anisimovna Lopatukhina, recorded on 29 April 2009. She was born in Kiev, evacuated to Omsk during World War II. She talks about the years of the evacuation (the whole family came with the evacuated plant where her father worked); she mentions the large number of Jews in the plant and lists their names. She also provides short information about her children and grandchildren.
2. Memories of Elena Vladimirovna Zhilyakovskaya (born in c. Ikonnikovo, Gorkovsky district Omsk region), then a resident of the Jewish collective farm named after Kalinin, moved to Omsk. She also talks about her grandmother, who observed Jewish traditions (she died in 1939). The last two pages were written by an unknown author. The text provides information about the origin of the mother of the family of a Jewish cantonist and general considerations about the appearance of Jews in Western Siberia.
3. Memories of Riva Fedorovna Kogan (born in Vinnytsia region, Luchinets Kopaygorodsky district). She mostly talks about how she has become a member of Hesed. Special attention is paid to her experience as a prisoner of Jewish ghetto in 1941-1944.
4. Autobiography of Olga Efimovna Schiff, who was born in Kiev. It is a personal story of survival in World War II.
5. Memories of Lyudmila Ivanovna Zavalkovskfya. She describes the years of World War II - she was born in Velizh; during the war she and her family were under occupation in the Velizh district of Smolensk region. She was evacuated to Omsk with her sister in 1943. Her family were murdered by the Nazis in Rostany, Velizh district, Smolensk region. It also includes some information about her life and family after the war.
