This collection comprises a selection of materials about the photo artist M.I. Frumgarts and the Postavskih family. It consists of two parts:
1. Articles about the photographer Mikhail Iosifovich Frumgarts from "Omsk Pravda", "Vecherniy Omsk", "Omskaya Gazeta", "Omskaya muza” and the magazine "Mir Uvlecheniy”. A text about Mikhail Frumgarts (8 pages) as well as a bibliography and a list of exhibitions in which he participated. Copies of an album by Frumgarts published in 2005, containing 38 photos, including portraits of the violinist N. Beilin, Professor M.S. Rabinovich, theatre director M. Zakharov, theatre director Y. Kirzhner and others. Information relating to Mikhail Iosifovich, his son Mark Mikhailovich Frumgarts and Omsk photo artist Eduard Isaakovich Savin.
2. Material relating to the Postavskih family, mainly about Tatiana Borisovna Postavskih (3 July 1914-24 June 1994). Memories of Vladimir Postavskih about his mother written in 1996 (6 pages). Photocopies of photographs and newspaper articles about Tatiana Borisovna. Plan and fragments of memoirs "Scraps" by Vladimir Postavskih, photocopies of photographs and newspaper articles.

- The collection was presented to the organisation by Oleg Mikhailovich Frumgarts, a son of Mikhail Iosifovich Frumgarts.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Mikhail Iosifovich Frumgarts (born in Zaporozhye 10 February 1921, died 5 August 1998 in Omsk) was a famous Omsk photographer, chronicler of the urban landscape and cultural life of the city. In 1941 he moved to Omsk with the evacuees of the plant named after P.I. Baranov. He worked as a draftsman, then in a photographic laboratory. In 1946 he became the factory photographer and in 1948 the photographer of the newspaper "Omskaya pravda". From 1948 to 1949 he was the TASS photojournalist in the Omsk region. From 1956 to 1970 he was head of the children's photo club at the Palace of Culture of the plant P.I. Baranov. In 1966 he went to work at the institute "Giproniiaviaprom". From 1968 he worked in the City Department for Construction and Architecture. He became a member of the Union of Journalists in 1972. In 1979-1981 Frumgarts worked in the Omsk artistic and production workshops of the Art Fund of the RSFSR. For a long time the workshop was located in the House of Artists. His photos were published in many magazines and newspapers of the Soviet Union as well as in numerous Omsk publications, collections, anthologies, art exhibition catalogues and brochures.
