- The collection includes the Organisation Statute (1991) and documents that reflect the activities of the organisation: reports and records of the election meeting, minutes of general and board meetings and financial reports. The report of the election meeting covers social problems, issues of preparation of documents for the return of the synagogue to the Jewish community and the election of the Board. The general meeting considered the holidays of Purim and Passover, language teaching for leaving Israel and the opening of the Jewish kindergarten. Board meeting topics included the election of the chairman of the society, acquisition of books on the history of Jewish culture for the library, the opening of a Sunday school, the organisation of summer camps, the arrival of members of the "living word" Swedish organisation, the Purim, Passover and Hanukkah holidays and the approval of staff. Orders in the organisation are not published and plans and reports are not compiled. After 1994 board meetings were not recorded. Also included are invitations to cultural evenings and concerts, posters for festivals, an exhibition programme for "Sholem Aleichem – the Jewish Mark Twain" (26 February 1997), an invitation to a celebration of Jewish books (15 October 1998), a poster for a concert by a klezmer ensemble "Shalom 21st century" (12 September 1999), an invitation to the 10th anniversary of the Omsk Jewish religious community "Or Hadash" and the opening of the almanac of culture of the peoples of the Caucasus, and the Middle and Far East (21 October – 13 December 2001), posters publicising Purim (28 February 2002) and Seder (29 March 2003), a programme for "Jewish Book Week" (17-24 March 2005); an invitation to a concert by a klezmer ensemble "Shalom 21st century" (31 May 2005), an invitation to a concert by the Ettinger ensemble dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the State of Israel, an invitation to the First International Festival of Jewish community theatres (24-28 February 2008), a poster for the celebration of the beginning of a Torah Scroll of Omsk (13 December 2009) and posters for a concert by a klezmer ensemble "Shalom 21st century" and the play "From Odessa stories of Isaac Babel" (20 September – 24 November 2009). There are additionally booklets about the organisation (2006, 2010) and the organisation’s licence to carry out social services activities (8 June 2001).
- Archival history:
- In 1999 a scientific and technical processing of documents was carried out for the first time. In the documents for the period of 1991-95 an inventory was compiled, based on the chronological order of systematisation of the files. Within each section the year of the case are located in order of importance. Materials were added to the archive as part of the standard local process.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The decision to establish the society was made in October 1990 and on 30 March 1992 the society was registered with the justice agencies of the Omsk regional administration. On 30 November 2002 the society "Shalom" was renamed "Shalom XXI Century". Yakov Grigoryevich Birlyand has been the organisation’s chairman since 1992.
