- Administrative/biographical history:
- Omsk province was abolished in 1925 and Omsk district, which became part of the Siberian region, was formed from Omsk, Kalachinsk and Tyukalinsk counties and the former Omsk province. In place of provincial, county and township organisations of the AUCP (B), regional committees were formed. By a decision of the Bureau of the Omsk Provincial Committee of the AUCP (B) on 9 October 1925, the Provincial Committee was renamed the Regional Committee of the AUCP (B). By a resolution of the Central Executive Committee and Soviet of People's Commissars on 23 July 1930, Omsk region was eliminated in line with the discontinuation of districts and the formation of the West Siberian region, of which its lands subsequently became part.
