- The collection contains protocols, plans and statistical data on the development of young professionals; minutes of meetings of the commission on the personal distribution of young professionals; checklists of researchers; regular forms of teaching staff. Also present are personal files of lecturers, including I.Y. Ryshkovsky (associate professor of the department of electric power facilities), D.Y. Perelman (associate professor of repair factories) N.O. Roginsky (deputy head of the institute of studies, professor) and I.I. Volynsky (senior lecturer of the military department), and private files of students of the Tomsk electromechanical institute of railway transport engineers (1921-56), including R.A. Bauman, I.M. Berzon, Y. Gelfeld, L.I. Gurman, S.I. Iglevich, I.M. Kamenetz, A.M. Kantsepolsky, P.M. Kesselman, N.M. Lande, S.G. Lazebnikov, Z.I. Mortkovich, O.Y. Pantofel, H.A. Polyak, M.M. Ravvinov, H.A. Sadovich, V.S. Shatz, I.H. Shpendel, A.G. Shtitelman and A.A. Yurchenson. Documentary photographs include portraits of T.F. Fatenberg (1938), E.Y. Marienhof (1943), K.M. Brodetsky (1950), V.B. Medel (1950) and a photograph of associate professor of structural mechanics M.S. Moiseevich lecturing (1963, Omsk).

- Materials were added to the archive as part of the standard local process.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Siberian Institute of Transportation Engineers (SIIT) was established in 1930, having previously been part of Tomsk Technological Institute. In 1932 it became Tomsk Electromechanical Institute of Railway Transport Engineers (TEMIIT) and in 1961 was moved to Omsk and renamed Omsk Institute of Railway Transport Engineers (OmIIT). In 1994 it became Omsk State Academy of Railway Transport (OmGAPS), and in 1997 the academy became Omsk State Transport University.
