- The collection contains lists of political prisoners (1918-1919), decisions on remand, documents relating to former agents of the Tsarist secret police, a list of members of the Constituent Assembly taken into custody in the prison in 1918, lists of participants in the uprising on 22 December 1918 in Omsk arrested and held in prison under Kolchak (1918), a list of political prisoners contained in the Omsk prison, documents regarding a case about the former gendarmerie personnel taken into custody, notices of Omsk regional prison on receipt of individuals arrested for criminal and political offences, including Jews. Personal files contain application forms, personal data, social status, religion, signs, detention order and arrest orders.

- In 1840 the Omsk prison jail was renamed Omsk fortress prison. In 1904 the institution was converted into a prison of Omsk Oblast. Omsk county jail was intended for the detention of political and criminal prisoners on remand and convicted.
