Scope and content:: The collection contains orders of the provincial food commissioner; minutes of the general meeting of Omsk province; statements of bread surplus; townships nominal lists; lists of the poorest people; protocols and acts of confiscation of the products among the population. The collection also provides information about the private Jewish enterprises, including documents about renting of private factory of Aron Nisonovich Kovler by “Centrosoyuz”, including agreement between Kovler and Omsk regional office of “Centrosoyuz" regarding bread, the lease of Kovler's equipment, inventory of the property adopted by the Central Union from Kovler, estimates for the work of the leased plant. A considerable part of the collection consists of personal files of members of the Commissariat from 1921 to 1924 (1519 files, of which about 50 concern Jewish individuals). Personal files contain personal information (date of birth, full name), information on the supply of family of a member of the commissariat with food, extracts from orders, certificates of vacation with the location and time.

Archival history:: Materials were added to the archive as part of the standard local process.

Access, restrictions:: No official restrictions. However, loose files and/or files containing personal information may only be available with special permission of the Director.
