- This collection includes circulars of the Minister of Education and the chief inspector of schools of Western Siberia; orders of the trustee; circulars of the director; documents about the opening of the school; financial papers; minutes of teachers' meeting sessions; income statements; journals of incoming and outgoing papers; statements about students and teachers; certificates of graduation; petitions, certificates (including of Jewish students); information about their personal data, parents, enrolment and graduation.

- Administrative/biographical history:
- In 1882 at the request of the West Siberian Governor-General N G Kaznakov the school was established in Omsk. It was the first mechanical and technical school in Western Siberia. It was a four-year technical school and six students graduated from it in 1887. In the 1890/91 academic year the technical school was transformed into one of mechanical engineering. It opened a vocational school in 1901. In 1919, the school was made part of the craft and trade school of Siberian Cossack troops; in 1920 it became a professional-technical school of the second degree.
