- The collection holds the records of the Jewish funds and associations in Turku, and it is part of the Turku Jewish archives (section IV, files IV A–D). It contains the minutes, annual reports, member lists, ledgers, cash books and other records of the loan association Ahavat Hesed (1926–1991), Keren Kayemeth L’Israel (1961–1975), the Construction Fund (Rakennusrahasto, 1921–1935), burial society Chewra Kadischa (1914–1990), and sick relief society Bicur Cholim (1908–1970).

- The material was deposited in the National Archives by the Jewish congregation of Turku in 2008. It was organized in the National Archives of Turku in January-February 2008.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Ahavat Hesed, founded in the 1920s, was a Turku-based association giving loans for the community members. Keren Kayemeth L’Israel was the Turku-based branch of the international organization active in Turku until the 1970s. The relief society for the sick, Bicur Cholim, was founded in Turku in 1904. The burial society Chevra Kadisha is the oldest Jewish association in Turku, founded in 1878. It is the only one of the Jewish aid associations that is still active in Turku.
