- Scope and content:
- This collection consists of registers of documents and correspondence received from the Făgăraș district office by the auditor of the Saxon University regarding the management of the university’s communal property and assets. For the actual documents and correspondence listed in these registers, one must then look for folder(s) for the corresponding year in the related collection, inventory number 164. It is, however, worth noting that the registers viewed during the survey are very difficult to read. Though the Suetterlin handwriting is relatively neat, entries are often crammed into small boxes with little or no space between words and lines, and many abbreviations. For examples of material related to the Jewish population which may be found within the collection, see the entry for this collection at http://jbat.lbi.org/, subfield ‘contains’, and click on any link.
